HX Tech 1 – Cleaning Specialist

Role Overview

The intake, pre-evaluation documentation, cleaning and flushing of new incoming cooler/radiator projects. Final project cleaning & flushing

Responsibilities (tasks associated with this role)

  • Shop Opening Duties
  • Turn on lights
  • Unlock doors
  • Turn on air compressor
  • Check tank levels
  • Polite and professional customer interaction
  • Unloading and loading of projects
  • Maintain **UpKeep** reporting for all jobs, including notes, labor times, pictures, job documentation and pertinent project info. 
  • Intake of projects and associated documentation process
  • Physically stamp or engrave all projects upon intake
  • Ensure using pictures and notes that all original equipment, fittings, gaskets, clips, bolts, etc. are documented
  • Remove bushings, clips, piping, plugs and sensors as needed. Store in bin on bin rack marked with matching job #
  • Initial pics (With assistance from HX Tech 3 – Note buildup, possible leak indications, damage, customer specified issues)
  • Document original customer complaints, notes, issues and comments on UpKeep work order notes.
  • Tag project with correct work order / ICE#
  • Upon direction from Management or HX Tech 3+ – Proceed with project to Hot Vat • Power Wash • Box For Shipping • Chemical Bath • Stage For Later
  • Attend to spills ASAP, with absorbent, floor dry, or soaker pads. Remediate yard spills with powder detergent or dirt removal.

  • Power wash projects until absolutely clean
  • Flush internally to an extreme degree in both directions in order to remove any unseen debris, blockages, or residue
  • All internal debris, oil, coolant, or residue must be completely removed and rinsed free
  • Under HX Tech 3+ Supervision, ensure projects have proper flow, by filling with water and noting evacuation speed and behavior. Document results in work order on UpKeep
  • Remove all exterior debris, grease, residue and flaking paint
  • Additional hot vat soaking, chemical use, or manual means may be needed to accomplish the above
  • Pay special attention not to damage fins, fragile parts or plastics with high pressure water
  • Pay special attention not to damage fins, fragile parts, metals or plastics with acidic, base, or solvent chemicals. Alway test inconspicuously, as not to damage heavily.
  • Competently use and care for power washer and high heat functions. Including but not limited to, fueling, cleaning, cooling properly, inspecting parts, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair.
  • Drain and remove ALL water from inside units when completely clean
  • All testing will be verified with HX Tech 3+
  • All Final testing will be verified with Management
  • Accurately document labor time used in each work order
  • House keeping of cooler shop, including general clean up, sweeping, organization, extra clean up, tank, vat, and sump cleaning. Equipment fueling, maintenance and repair.

  • Supply HX Tech 3+ team members with a highly cleaned project ready for testing, inspection, or repair
  • Assist HX Tech 3+ team members in any means necessary to help expedite a properly cleaned, repaired, rebuilt, serviced project
  • Tag or mark all projects with ICE #
  • Keep cooler shop in a neat, orderly, and organized way, as to expedite a premium service or product.
  • Develop a keen knowledge of cooler / radiator types and construction
  • Develop a keen knowledge of cleaning tools
  • Develop a keen knowledge of cleaning processes, chemicals and tactics
  • Assist in the delivery of a clean fully functioning, serviced and leak free product that you can and your company can be proud of
