Role Overview

The organization and documentation of inventory, tools, shipping and receiving. Purchasing to fulfill stocking requirements, purchase requests. Vendor pricing and quote submittal. Measurement and part identification. Stocking and tool verification.

Role Overview

Responsibilities (tasks associated with this role)

  • Parts, materials, & tool vendor search, cost comparison, procurement & tracking
  • Vendor communication, quote requests & stock organization
  • Parts pickup & delivery
  • Liaison / staff teacher for new inventory processes
  • Part identification, measuring, & procurement
  • The development of program and processes to accomplish tasks below
  • The development and fabrication of means to accomplish the tasks below. I.E. Shelving, Racking, Bins, Totes and Mounting
  • Parts & materials inventory documentation
  • Tool inventory documentation
  • Stocking parts & materials organization
  • Specialty parts & materials organization
  • Tool organization & tracking
  • Part & materials labeling
  • Specialized tools labeling
  • Labeling of shelves, racks & bins
  • Shipping of parts, materials, tools & products
  • Receiving of parts, materials tools & products
  • Purchasing to fulfill stocking requirements
  • Purchasing to fulfill project need requirements
  • Purchasing to fulfill tool needs
  • Part, Material & Tool Quotations Requests
  • Part, Material & Tool Research
  • Current updated item pricing
  • Quote data entry & document retention
  • Links to item vendors
  • Verification, stocking and repair of tool kits
  • Tracking of tools and kits use / location
  • Pictures of all items

  • A smooth running inventory system
  • A fully searchable inventory system
  • Verifying that all iInventory items are scannable for project billing
  • Insuring a fully stocked inventory of minimum quantity items
  • Full digital documentation of items on hand and important info
  • All items labeled
  • All items mapped
  • Needed parts and materials ordered and planned in a timely manner
  • No project delays for missing stock, parts, materials
  • Developing parts & materials quotes from requests
  • Researching best of pricing and delivery options
  • Reporting needs and ideas to management
  • Quick and efficient request fulfillment
  • Developing a close working relationship with shop foreman
  • Developing a close working relationship with vendors
  • Develop a keen knowledge of parts, materials and resources I.E vendors and technical data
  • Able to develop and document SOP’s or various processes
